Following on from the release of the 2014 EP Sleeping Till The Weekend, Lunatics On Pogosticks have been working hard on crafting their forthcoming debut album.

They’re today unleashing a fresh cut from the album, the ridiculously fun ode to partying ‘MDMAtes’. Described by lead singer Calum Newton as a somewhat enigmatic story of “a friend in Brisbane” the track will be celebrated by a cheeky national tour in February.

As their origin story goes Lunatics On Pogosticks formed 2011 as a duo, the band expanded to three members and took out the title of Triple J Unearthed High in 2013. Since then, the band has supported the likes of DZ Deathrays, Jebediah and Grinspoon so you know they have the chops live.

If you like what you’re hearing pop by the band’s Facebook page for more info on upcoming shows and releases.
