In 2015, Kirklandd captured a lot of attention previewing his unique style at select shows in Canberra and Melbourne, and releasing two singles on triple j Unearthed, both of which debuted at #2 on the Unearthed charts, and accumulated a number of plays on Unearthed Radio.
He’s now back again wrapping up the year with the release of ‘Right Now’ a hip hop gem oozing with attitude and bravado. Exploring the ways he can push his unique flow and vocal delivery, this single touches on inspiration drawn from hip hops’ pioneers, between the old (James Brown, Rakim, A Tribe Called Quest) to the new (Vic Mensa, Goldlink, Kendrick).
2016 promises to see Kirklandd preparing for the launch of his debut EP. Following his work with Allday, Hilltop Hoods and 360, Aria winning and platinum record selling producer Cam Bluff has joined forces with Kirklandd for the project.
