Having already kicked things off in style with the likes of Kadavar, Richie Ramone, Supersuckers, and Gay Paris, the organisers of Cherry Rock 2016 have now capped it all off in a manner befitting Australia’s only dedicated rock and roll street festival.

The Cherry Rock 2016 lineup is now complete with the addition of The Sigit, direct from Indonesia. This four-piece exploded onto the international heavy scene back in 2004 with the release of their debut EP and have been one of Asia’s premier rock bands since.

Meanwhile, Clowns have unfortunately had to depart from this year’s Cherry Rock lineup to hit up one of the world’s biggest punk rock festivals. Never fear, they’ve been replaced with local screamers High Tension, who pack a punch with every performance.

“Ten years under our belts and I firmly believe this is our best line-up ever,” said Cherry owner and booker James Young. “The Sigit from Indonesia sound like Graveyard from Sweden! Kadavar are my favourite band in the world and AC/DC Lane will grow a beard while these hairy Germans play.”

“Supersuckers were born with a tail and will finally shake that tail in AC/DC Lane. And with locals such as High Tension, Power, Dead City Ruins and Dallas Frasca I know Melbourne’s CherryRock
street rock n roll festival shall stand proudly beside the legendary Richie Ramone himself, together, too tough too die!”
