The inaugural Rewind Festival Australia, which boasts one of the biggest live outdoor line-up of 80s recording artists and performers ever with Bananarama, Midge Ure, Tony Hadley, Nik Kershaw, ABC, and so on has now added another six acts to the stellar line up.

These include the addition of The Straits, featuring Alan Clark, Phil Palmer and Chris White from the legendary band Dire Straits which arguably was the biggest rock act of the 80s. The Straits’ frontman Terence Reis brings a fresh flavour to the band’s greatest hits. Also joining are Cutting Crew and T’pau.

It won’t just be all about the 80s though ….. Rewind is bringing out some relics of the 70s and 90s in The Real Thing, Candi Staton and Right Said Fred.

Originally launched in the UK in 2009, organisers announced an Australian version of the Festival for BlueScope Field on the New South Wales south coast , with weekend and camping options, as well as day passes.
