Lemmy Kilmister, frontman for hard rock band Motorhead, has secretly been cooking up a solo album and in a recent interview with San Francisco Weekly spoke about the progress of the record and let slip who’s set to make guest appearances.

When asked whom he’d most like to collaborate with with the frontman replied, “There are a lot of people out there who are great players, It’s just whether the spark arrives. Whether somebody wants to do it and I’ve got some free time.”

“I’m three-quarters of the way though a solo album right now,” he then revealed. “I’ve got two tracks with The Damned, two tracks with [German hard-rock band] Skew Siskin, one with Joan Jett, one with Grohl, and two with the Reverend Horton Heat. So I’ve got quite a mixed bag on there. I’m trying to get one with Skin from Skunk Anansie.”

When pressed for more information such as a release date the 66-year-old rock n roll veteran revealed “It’ll probably be next year, ’cause we’re working a lot this year. But maybe it’ll be this year. I don’t know. It depends on how fast I can get the last few tracks done after we finish this tour.”

“The original idea for this solo album I got from Jeff Beck. And he’s the only one I haven’t been able to nail down to do the fucking track, which is typical of Jeff. He’s always the same. He’d rather be under a car covered in gasoline than playing his guitar.”

We don’t know about you but our panties are seriously wet at the idea of a Grohl/Lemmy track. After suffering through months bad match ups such as Lou Reed and MetallicaInsane Clown Posse and Jack WhiteJimmy Barnes and some unknown house music DJ, and The Doors with Skrillex; some good old fashioned rock n roll sounds mighty good.
