After 18 years together, seven studio albums, worldwide #1 hits and several Australian tours, The Dandy Warhols have announced they will release their eighth official studio album, ‘This Machine’, this April. The first track to appear from the album, “Well They’re Gone” is available now for download.
Marking The Dandy Warhols eighth official studio album, ‘This Machine’ was recorded over the course of 2011 at the band’s epic rock clubhouse-cum-entertainment megaplex/studio The Odditorium. The band recorded the album with longtime engineer and sometimes producer Jeremy Sherrer and mixed with Tchad Blake, who is well known for his recent work with The Black Keys.
Front man Courtney Taylor Taylor describes the ideas behind “Well They’re Gone”: “Falling in love is easy. Seems to not require any strength at all… Actually, a noticeable lack of strength may even be a prerequisite”, he explains.
