This is not a drill. Bruce Springsteen has teamed up with late show host Jimmy Fallon, who was dressed as Neil Young, to cover LMFAO’s weapon of mass destruction Sexy And I Know It.
The Boss was also dressed up, as 80s Bruce, where the pair performed an acoustic version of the song on Fallon’s Friday Late Night program.
Springsteen’s latest record, Wrecking Ball, is out internationally tomorrow and he and his E Street Band are set to embark on a world tour later on this March.
The group, who suffered a tragedy earlier in the year when longtime sax player Clarence Clemons suffered a stroke and died, have already confirmed a number of dates throughout Europe between May and July, and have confirmed there are plans for a tour of North American as well as the rest of the world planned for sometime after.
Although no Australian dates have been announced yet (the dates leaked earlier this year turned out to be fake) there have been whispers that we’ll see Springsteen down under towards the end of the year.
There have also been rumours that the AFL was looking at Springsteen as a possible Grand Final entertainer. Springsteen is no stranger to big sporting events, having previously performing as the halftime entertainment for the Superbowl in the United States.
The AFL have denied the rumours, but we’ll keep you posted if we hear anything more.
