After Kylie Minogue’s incredibly lavish, and seriously sizeable, Aphrodite – Les Folies tour, which delighted stadiums of fans in 2011, the pint-sized pop goddess has announced two super “intimate” shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Appropriately named The Anti Tour the shows will be staged in less than two weeks from today and will be an incredible treat for Kylie fans featuring B-sides, demos and rarities in remarkably stripped back performances.
Fresh from her appearance the world famous Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney (for which she waived her fee), the Palace (Melbourne) and Big Top Luna Park (Sydney) shows are likely to be once in a lifetime opportunities for fans of the pop superstar, who after growing up in the suburban eye of Australia, has shrugged off the “Singing Budgie” moniker to become one of our most celebrated exports, and most successful recording artists (second only after Olivia Newton John) with an estimated 68 million record sales to her name.
Tickets for The Anti Tour go on sale midday on March 7 and strict ticketing conditions do apply.
