Indie-dance outfit RÜFÜS return with the new track ‘This Summer’, from the soon to be released sophomore EP (out on gigpiglet recordings/Inertia). To celebrate the release, the band will hit the road in April/May for shows in Victoria, NSW, ACT, WA and Queensland.
Locally the RÜFÜS’s live show has been gathering a loyal cult following, with growing support from punters in their home town of Sydney resulting in more than a few sold out shows. On the airwaves, RÜFÜS have received a healthy amount of attention with the tracks, ‘Paris Collides’, ‘We Left’ and the band’s remix of the Elizabeth Rose track ‘Stars Ago’ all receiving national airplay on triple j and community radio.
Over the summer RÜFÜS supported Royksopp, caused a Beatles-style stampede when they opened the boiler room at the Sydney Big Day Out, toured with The Aston Shuffle and played a string of other festivals including; Parklife, Homebake, Field Day, Peats Ridge and Harbour Party. Now they take their live show around the country in support of their new single ‘This Summer’.
