FISHING are from that deep green inland sea just 38 nautical miles west of Sydney, known as The Blue Mountains. You can hear it in their music too. Deep, beat driven ocean-scapes that sweep you far away while keeping your feet firmly tapping something catchy.

“Choy Lin” is Fishing’s newest single taken from a 7” vinyl due for release in October. Which will be followed by the B-side “White Sheet Beach”. For now this is only the appetiser, the main course will be coming early next year in the form of an album.

To celebrate the release, the duo will be packing their bags for a national tour, full details below. Counting backwards from now FISHING have just wrapped up a trip to Brisbane to perform at Big Sound. They’ve supported SBTRKT, Cloud Control, Jonathan Boulet, Jinja Safari, Snakadaktal, Oliver Tank and are soon hitting the road in support of Deep Sea Arcade. They’ve also played their own shows in the US, UK and every place worth mentioning in Australia.

Songs aren’t a problem for this prolific duo – in 2011 they had 4 releases, a total of 36 tracks as well as a tackle box full of remixes for the likes of Jonathan Boulet, Alpine, Cloud Control, Jinja Safari and Guerre.

Choy Lin & White Sheet Beach will be released this October in Australia/NZ on Yes Please.
