Coldplay have, after a 16-year lifespan, finally shown the world they deserve every bit of recognition they receive.

Releasing a beautiful audio and video documentation of their 2012 Mylo Xyloto album tour, the British four-piece couldn’t have done a better job.

The live compilation takes songs from arena shows worldwide, with a different city setting the backdrop for each song.

From “Viva La Vida” at their headlining show at Glastonbury 2011, to “Fix You” in Paris, the condition was all too similar: thousands of screaming fans, four energetic and talented guys, and a remarkable connection between them all.

But, really, this documentation has to be seen to be believed.

For their tour, Coldplay prided themselves on the amount of animation and colour they were bringing to each city; turning a blank slate of an arena into a wonderland of neon lights, painted instruments and a remote controlled wristband for every member of the audience.

The result was a parade of magic. Every concert was an absolute wonderland of colour.

From the moment the wrist bands were triggered at the start of “Charlie Brown”  every crowd member simultaneously raised their arms and created a sea of light.

Each recorded track  is an absolute staple and a perfect mixture from each of their five albums, and segmented by behind the scenes footage of Coldplay’s own telling of their tour.

There is little this release is missing. It truly has so much to offer.
