After gaining considerable buzz of a series of articulate releases, Sydney’s Tales In Space have announced their first national tour to celebrate the release of ‘Shades’, the first single from their forthcoming debut album, and they’re taking the equally excellent Enola Fall on the road with them when they hit venues around the country this May/June.
An indie pop gem, ‘Shades‘ is already enjoying positive reactions from both fans and media after landing full rotation on Triple J, FBi radio and other community radio stations across the country. The stunning animated music video for ‘Shades’ is also on heavy rotation on Rage (watch it here).
Instantly drawing the ear with its positive energy and youthful pop, ‘Shades’ also contains a darker edge which reveals itself unexpectedly across the course of the track, but the equally hopeful and hooky chorus lifts brilliantly towards its bright finale.
The latest release from the Sydney two piece, who concoct and record their own tasty electro flavours before marinating them in traditional guitar spices, follows on from the catchy instrumental wonder ‘Starwars’. The video for the single received a SMAC nomination this year for “Best On Screen”, while Tales In Space have been whipping up remixes for notable acts such as Hungry Kids of Hungary, Dappled Cities, Little Fox and Expatriate.
Joining Tales From Space on the road will be Tasmania’s mighty Enola Fall, for a 10-date trek across Australia, all the way from Brisbane down to Melbourne and finishing with two shows on Enola Falls’ home turf in Tasmania.
