Hungry Kids Of Hungary Announce Final 2013 Dates, New Single & Video

After a whirlwind six months or so since the release of their critically-raved about album You’re A Shadow, Brisbane’s Hungry Kids Of Hungary are rounding up an incredible year in style with a final bout of shows and a brand new video for latest single ‘Do Or Die’.

Having seen many airports, tour vans and an endless highway all over the world, the band has spent the year so far plugging their wares around the world.

Kicking off with the You’re A Shadow Tour with The Preatures and Them Swoops in tow, the year continued with much-lauded performances on the national Groovin The Moo Tour and across international waters for Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival and their first fully-blown UK Tour.

You’re A Shadow has received nothing but impeccable reviews from local music press as well as snaring Triple J’s coveted Feature Album and a rousing rendition of Tame Impala’s Feels Like We Only Go Backwards for the station’s Like A Version segment.

Following S’harp Shooter’, ‘Twin Cities’ and ‘When Yesterday’s Gone’, the latest single ‘Do Or Die’ is another lyrically-loaded pop song, a heartfelt yet inspiring internal monologue via songwriter Dean McGrath, reminding us all to just get on with life. The video sees the band reunite with old friend and director Liz Murphy who shot footage on a private beach about an hour out of Edinburgh during a freezing English dusk.

The Do Or Die Tour will be Hungry Kids of Hungary’s final headline tour for 2013, kicking off with an appearance at Townville’s Cultural Festival and concluding in the Spiegeltent at Brisbane Festival. They will be joined by friends and fellow-Brisbanians Litte Scout who are sitting poised on the release of their second album.
