No one knows how to throw a party quite like VICE. Having packed Where?House to capacity last year with their crazy free-for-all antics, the undisputed kings of the indie-party scene are back for round two, working in cahoots with their music site Noisey and the gang from iconic local festival Sugar Mountain to cause a little trouble at The Residence.

For the first time in Australia, Mikal Cronin (USA) is one artist you don’t want to miss. Catapulting from San Francisco, Mikal is heralded as a leading light of the US neo-garage-pop underground scene, and has notched up some serious street cred for his collaborations with garage wonder-kid Ty Segall and the unstoppable Thee Oh Sees.

Mikal has released several singles and two amazing solo albums, including most recently the lauded LP MCII on Merge Records. Labelled ‘Part Everly Brother, part feedback overlord’ by Uncut Magazine, Mikal is also a member of bands Okie Dokie, Epsilons, Party Fowl and Moonhearts. Seriously, the kid’s about to blow up… come see for yourself, and tell you friends you were there before he exploded.

Supporting Mikal at this free party is a rowdy line-up of local acts, including prolific garage-indie-punk outfit The UV Race, Vice favourites Home Travel and Brisbane’s hard-boogie Blank Realm.

Co-presented with VICE, Noisey and Sugar Mountain

Supported by Beat, Broadsheet, inthemix, Mess+Noise and Triple R
