High Hopes


The Boss cannot be stopped. The beginning of 2014 sees the American legend release his 18th record High Hopes.

Joining the E Street Band in 2013 was Rage Against The Machine’s masterful Tom Morello. Springsteen on Morello’s influence of High Hopes: “he’s my muse, pushing the rest of this project to another level.” Morello also duets with Springsteen on track ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad’.

High Hopes will also feature work from the late Clarence Clemons and Danny Ferderici to which Springsteen has crowned the tracks as “some of our best unreleased material from the past decade”.

High Hopes is out January 17th 2014 on Sony Music Australia.

The LA based trio comprising of Chino Moreno (Deftones), Shaun Lopez (Far) and Chuck Doom have set the date for their eponymous self-titled debut record.

Crosses († † †) comprises of all tracks from the band’s two previous EPs: EP† and EP††, as well as bolster of a further five new tracks.

Leading the charge of fresh material is the sublime ‘Bitches Brew’ (sorry, not much Miles Davis about it) that slowly burns through to a cataclysmic Crosses († † †) closer that sees Chino transition from his melodic tenor to demonic screams.

Crosses († † †) is out February 14th 2014 on Sumerian Records.

She And Him
The Capitol Studios Session


In 2006, musician M. Ward and film and tv star Zooey Deschanel joined forces to form duo She & Him. Now, this December, the pair are set to release a brand new EP.

Entitled The Capitol Studios Session, the four-song EP will feature re-recorded tracks from their most recent album Volume 3. Recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, a place graced by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and The Beach Boys, The Capitol Studios Session was mixed by Larry Crane and mastered at Gateway Mastering.

The Capitol Studios Session EP will be released December 2 via Merge Records.

Sky Ferreira
Night Time, My Time: B-Sides // Part 1


Not long after the release of her album Night Time, My Time, Sky Ferreira returns with a collection of B-sides in the form of an EP.

B-Sides // Part 1 consists of five tracks including three outtakes from Night Time, My Time, and an acoustic composition entitled ‘Everything Is Embarrassing’, produced by Grammy-nominated Jon Brion. Alternative band Unknown Mortal Orchestra also make an appearance, with a remix of the latter.
Night Time, My Time: B-Sides // Part 1 is available now in limited quantity online and in independent music stores.
