St Vincent
St Vincent
St. Vincent showcases Annie Clark at her most assured and gripping, as she meshes distorted, aggressive electric guitars and ethereal vocal and synthesizer arrangements on top of an infectious rhythm section and relentless percussion.
“I knew the groove needed to be paramount,” Clark says of the album, which she arranged and demoed extensively in Austin before heading into the studio in Dallas to record. “I wanted to make a party record you could play at a funeral.”
The result is Clark’s most riveting work yet. The album follows her last solo release, 2011’s Strange Mercy – a record which cemented her status as one of her generation’s most fearsome and inventive guitarists.
St. Vincent is set for release 21st February 2014 through Loma Vista/Caroline International.

Mark Lanegan
Has God Seen My Shadow? An Anthology 1989-2011
As one of America’s great modern day vocalists and songwriters, Mark Lanegan has much in common with the timeless work of such legends as Fred Neil, Tim Hardin and Karen Dalton.
The former frontman of Screaming Trees, collaborator with Kurt Cobain and Queens Of The Stone Age, and, most commonly, as a solo artist, Lanegan is a man whose career has been defined by an unwillingness to sit still.
2014 sees Lanegan release Has God Seen My Shadow? An Anthology 1989-2011 – with Light In The Attic Records set to shine a spotlight on this great American performer and songwriter. Released in two sumptuous formats: a Double-CD edition and a Triple-LP box set, it is the result of collecting Lanegan’s solo material from Sub Pop, Beggars Banquet and more.
Has God Seen My Shadow? is out 17th January 2013 through Inertia

You Me At Six
Cavalier Youth
The British alt-rock juggernauts continue to hurtle from strength to strength in 2013, driven by the release of the bombastic second single from their forthcoming Cooking Vinyl album Cavalier Youth.
Cavalier Youth is the bands’ fourth album, and showcases a renewed vigor for You Me At Six, who despite still being in their early twenties, have clocked up almost a decade of writing, recording and touring.
Recorded under the motivating watch of renowned producer Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Weezer, Fall Out Boy) in Los Angeles, Cavalier Youth’s riffs are catchy and the drums, colossal. Where wildly successful third album ‘Sinners Never Sleep’ had more of a pick’n’mix approach, Cavalier Youth displays a consistency born of confidence. This is next level musicianship, channeling influences as diverse and as ambitious as the Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and The Gaslight Anthem; it’ll capture the hearts and imaginations of fans both old and new.
Cavalier Youth is set for release 27 January 2014 via Cooking Vinyl.

1. Too Young To Feel This Old

Johnny Cash
Out Among The Stars
Prepare yourselves for Out Among The Stars, a remarkable new album comprised of 12 recently discovered Johnny Cash studio recordings.
Originally recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Columbia Studios in 1981, 1111 Sound Studios in 1984 and produced by Billy Sherrill (the architect of the “countrypolitan” sound), the album includes duets with June Carter Cash and Waylon Jennings.
The recordings, which have never been released in any form, are not demos, outtakes or alternate versions. Johnny Cash was not only one of the most prolific artists to ever cut records, he was also an American music archetype, the Man in Black who crossed over into pop culture and never sold out.
Thirty years in the making, Out Among The Stars is a classic Johnny Cash album, about to be heard for the very first time.
