Periphery
Clear
Falling somewhere between the great divide of progressive metal and contemporary avant-garde rock, Periphery are a sixpiece of organised chaos not to be fucked with. Gracing our shores in the New Year with their mesmerising three pronged guitar attack, the collective will release a 30-minute experimental effort a week prior to touching base in Australia, the record entitled Clear.
Commenting on the upcoming release, guitarist Jake Bowen confirmed: “Clear is an experiment to explore all of the different writing styles in the band. It’s rare when you have a band where every member is capable of writing and producing music. With each member controlling their own track, this recording enabled us to go down any path we chose in terms of style and sound.”

Pharrell Williams
TBA
Pharrell, the Grammy-winning mastermind who pretty much took over the world of pop in 2013 (remember those small songs ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Blurred Lines’?) has just announced a new full-length album as part of his newly inked deal with Columbia Records.
“When we excitedly partnered with Pharrell in January of this year, we felt it was his time again,” says Columbia Records Chairman/CEO Rob Stringer. “Since then, ‘Blurred Lines’ and ‘Get Lucky’ have defined pop music in 2013, and now we are preparing to launch Pharrell as a global solo superstar in 2014. ‘Happy’ is just the beginning.”
From his early work in the ‘90s producing with The Neptunes, to fronting N.E.R.D. before releasing his first solo work in 2005, Pharrell has been redefining cool for an entire generation. Now, going by Columbia’s words, it looks like his world-conquering career is going to an even higher plane in 2014.
Pharrell’s yet-to-be-named LP is scheduled for release in 2014 via Columbia Records.

Black Lips
Underneath The Rainbow
It’s now been three years since the four lads of Black Lips have made some fresh noise emanate from their Atlanta garage. For including the frequently missed region of the globe, the band’s tour was the focus of the documentary ‘Kids Like You and Me’ – not to be missed!
Retreating back to the studio, 2014 promises The Black Lips’ seventh full-length all-out record, splashed with star-studded contributions such as: Black Keys’ Patrick Carney on production, mixed by Grammy-award winner Jimmy Douglass and of greatest excitement, artwork by the legendary Mick Rock.
