Glasvegas drummer Caroline McKay has quit. The stickswoman for the Glasgow band, who rose from obscurity to being one of the UK’s biggest bands in 2008, left of her own accord says a statement by the band. Currently writing the band’s second album in Los Angeles, front man James Allen of her departure; “We are really sad that Caroline has decided to leave as she is one of the coolest drummers around. But we respect her decision and say goodbye with all our love and luck”.
In a 2008 NME feature on the band, McKay complained about sharing a cramped tour van with three smelly boys who were constantly farting and burping, so perhaps there’s a lesson for all you rock pigs out there – hold it in.
