A Pierce Brothers Australian Tour 2014 has been announced as the musical siblings reveal the release date for their highly anticipated EP
Following on from managing to sell 15,000 CDs in a year without the aid of a record label, Melbourne multi-instrumentalists the Pierce Brothers are excited to reveal that The Night Tree EP will be released on Friday 30th May 2014.
To celebrate, the charismatic indie-folk duo are gearing up to hit the road once more this year for a huge 11-date tour, spanning capital cities and regional venues across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.
Twin brothers Jack and Pat Pierce – who boast one of the most exhilarating live shows around – have amassed a fiercely loyal following over the last two years. The buzz band’s swelling fan base is a testament to their compelling collection of hook-laden songs.
Building upon fan favourites such as the 2013 single ‘Blind Boys Run’, all five tracks on The Night Tree capture a feeling of universality through creative instrumentation, poignant narratives and stomping, catchy-as-all-hell choruses.
Current single ‘It’s My Fault’ is a worldly tale, a lyrical exploration of forgiveness that builds over a steady beat before exploding into a cathartic, singalong chorus. The track is currently sitting in the Netherlands top 100 iTunes charts and receiving prime time radio play on Netherlands commercial radio giant 3FM – a momentous feat for the local artists.
Their overseas momentum is also building having played shows all over the UK – collecting new fans in each town they pass.
