A DevilDriver & Whitechapel Australian Tour 2014 has been announced with the two metal masters touring up and heading down under this September.
It’s particularly welcome news for fans of Whitechapel after the American deathcore cancelled on their scheduled appearance at Soundwave 2014 last February due to the death of one of the band’s family members.
Whitechapel were originally tipped to also replace Newsted on the controversial Megadeth Sidewaves, until both bands ended up pulling out of the hard and heavy festival entirely.
The six-piece now fulfil on their promise to return to Australia as they join fellow US melodic death metal five-piece DevilDriver on a three-date run of the East Coast, in a tour presented by Soundwave Touring, following the tour bands touring their native country in a series of sold out co-headline shows.
DevilDriver’s crushing live show sees them arriving in Australia with their six album back catalogue in tow, including their latest, 2013’s Winter Kills, the band’s highest charting release to date.
Whitechapel will be in the country for the first time since dropping their fifth full-length album, Our Endless War, released in April this year to a US Top 10 Chart debut, garnering widespread critical acclaim in the process.
Don’t miss your chance to see these two metal titans tearing up the nation’s stages.
