Back when the Tone Deaf crew were wee kiddy winks the nerds in class used to get a certificate at the end of term for being well behaved in the library. Paul McCartney’s getting one next week as well, but somehow we reckon we got ripped off at school!

On June 2nd the former Beatle is going to the White House in Washington to receive the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. In what will be a hell of a club gig in the White House’s East Room, he’ll receive the award at a show featuring performances from Jack White of The White Stripes, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Dave Grohl, Emmylou Harris and clearly an invite went to the wrong person, because The Jonas Brothers will also be playing. Sure beats the Bush Band Tone Deaf got at primary school.
