We’re putting a temporary ban on MIA after this yarn as quite frankly her attention seeking is starting to give Courtney Love a run for her money, but we can’t resist this one. MIA is the cover star of this month’s Nylon magazine, the ultimate hipster/graphic designer/fashion designer/actually works in a call centre coffee table accessory. She’s gone all out in this feature, telling them that she threatened she’d become a crackhead prostitute (and look at her now – crazy media tart – cynical Tone Deaf Ed) if her film school lecturers didn’t accept her in to the course. She’s also helpfully explained that Google and Facebook were invented and are controlled by the CIA.

She told the magazine “Anybody who is called the government is right. And anybody who isn’t called the government is not right… And you know, all governments are connected to Google, and all governments can shift their search engines so only what they want you to see comes up… I want kids to be aware of this digital circumstance… Everyone on the Internet is like, “Oh my God, come and join Facebook!” They’re all so optimistic… and really, everyone is fucking you up behind the screens. And I don’t like that. It makes it difficult for me to interact with my fans knowing that. Google and Facebook were developed by the CIA, and when you’re on there, you have to know that.”

Right, you’re temporarily banned by Tone Deaf MIA, go and take your meds.
