The Bennies & Morning Glory Australian Tour 2014 has been announced as the two party-starting rock bands join forces for an extensive jaunt this September.

Poison City favourites and conquerers of China, junk punk legends The Bennies will be teaming up with Fat Wreck Chords’ Morning Glory, making the trip over from the US to tour for the first time to play with the Melbourne quartet.

Kicking off in regional Queensland, The Bennies & Morning Glory Australian Tour 2014, will see the band rolling through a series of all-ages shows, city gigs, and headline concerts along the East Coast and into Adelaide through September.

The past 12 months has seen The Bennies cement themselves as one of Australia’s hardest working live acts. In the wake of their sophomore album, Rainbows In Space, the four knockabouts have appeared at Soundwave Festival, completed two tours of China, and announced an upcoming United States tour including a slot at Gainsville’s ‘The Fest’.

Embarking on their first ever Australian tour, Morning Glory, formed by Ezra Kire (Leftover Crack and Choking Victim), are a group of New York City musicians brought together by their love of making music fun for themselves again.

With roots deep in the politi-kill punk scene of the Lower East Side and Brooklyn, Morning Glory’s lyrical content never strays far from the things they see as axiom, although it tends to be more personal than other bands and projects they’ve been in over the years and have gone on to join the Fat Wreck family.
