Six years after their last headline tour of Australia and five years since they made their acclaimed appearance at Harvest Festival, Glasgow post-rock masters Mogwai have announced they will finally make their triumphant return Down Under this February.

The band was recently announced as the headliners of a massive Adelaide Festival roster, and their Aussie sojourn will now comprise debut performances at both the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall and Melbourne’s famed Hamer Hall, as well as a return to Brisbane’s Tivoli.

The band will be touring off the back of their warmly received eighth studio album, Rave Tapes, which the band unveiled earlier this year. The album was quickly cemented as yet another gem in the band’s discography and yielded the much-blogged-about single The Lord is Out of Control.

Readers can check below for all the dates and details of Mogwai’s forthcoming Australian tour. The dates are set to kick off with a performance at Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre as part of Adelaide Festival, then taking in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, before the boys depart for their first-ever New Zealand tour.
