December was a massive month of for live music lovers, with the city of Melbourne unveiling not one but two free summer series parties, the first Melbourne’s Summer Sunset Series held in Fitzroy Gardens in January, the second NGV Summer Sundays which will take place each Sunday of February, and with the arrival of the new year arrives more free live music in the Victorian city.

Multicultural Arts Victoria is excited to present the 2015 edition of the Fairfield Summer Series, a free event held every Sunday in February from 5pm–7:30pm at the Fairfield Amphitheatre. The 2015 series brings to light the diverse talent in Fairfield and the City of Yarra, celebrating local artists and favourite acts that frequent Melbourne’s live music and performing arts venues including Kylie Auldist (The Bamboos), Mikelangelo, Horns of Lion, Empat Lima and many more.

The stunning list of local talent will perform in the beautiful Fairfield Amphitheatre, with a Kiosk serving up exotic cuisine so you can kick up your feet, enjoy some fine eats and bliss out in the gorgeous green surroundings and wondrous live music.

The Fairfield Summer Series is a favourite in Melbourne’s live music calendar, having successfully operated for over a decade, 2015’s edition promises a non-stop smorgasbord of circus, comedy, music, dance and spoken word.

If you’re northside any given Sunday this February, be sure to make your way to this incredibly chilled out, good-vibed free festival.
