International music festivals have been enriched by a wealth of Aussie talent this year, just take a look at the hilariously announced Outside Lands or the brilliantly leaked Osheaga, not to mention Bonnaroo, Coachella, Governors Ball all enlisting Australian artists – however there’s one more US festival that may have out-Aussie’d them all.

The original on the road musical extravaganza, Lollapalooza, held from July 31st – August 2nd at Grant Park in Chicago, just dropped its 2015 lineup and it stars a number of incredible established Aussie acts, the most exciting artist easily is local Sydney ghost-folkers, Spookyland.

Having generated plenty of buzz in 2014 with their EP Rock and Roll Weakling, the four-piece led by the singer-songwriter Marcus Gordon have been given the golden opportunity, going from performing the likes of free gigs (even tonight) to playing in front of thousands of new fans.

The Sydney quartet will also join the very strong contingent of Aussie musicians including Tame Impala, Hottest 100 top two Peking Duk and Chet Faker, What So Not, Hermitude, Angus & Julia Stone, Alison Wonderland, DMA’s and Sheppard.

Lollapalooza will be headlined by the iconic Paul McCartney, metal legends Metallica, Grammy award killer Sam Smith as well as Florence + the Machine who is set for a massive 2015 not to mention, The War On Drugs, FKA Twigs, Father John Misty, The Weeknd, Alt-J, Bassnectar, TV On The Radio and A$AP Rocky – phewf, the greatest really doesn’t end.

Tickets have shockingly already sold out however Lolla usually release additional tickets closer to the date, keep your eyes peeled on the festival’s website for any additional information you may need.
