Melbourne’s Big Smoke are today unveiling their brand new EP titled Lately. Treading the boundaries of pop, rock, country and folk, this new EP sees the band stay true to their soul sensibilities supporting personal, hard-fought-and-won lyrics, always experimenting with what makes the classic folk rock song.
Big Smoke was first born as a collective then turned solo project helmed by singer-songwriter Adrian Slattery, Big Smoke galvanised as a four-piece band in mid-2014 with the introduction of Luke Brennan on drums, Alex O’Gorman on bass and Tim ‘Big Dog’ Baker on guitar. 2015 has been a great year for the four piece seeing them release the single ‘Try A Little Love’ following a signing to First Love/Shock Records, supporting Kitty Daisy & Lewis and now releasing their killer new EP.
To celebrate the release of Lately (out via Shock August 14th) the guys have given us an early EP stream which you can check out below. If you like what you hear be sure to pop by the band’s Facebook page for more info on upcoming shows and the EP release.
