Sydney’s indie pop masters High-tails are today dropping their brand single ‘My Heart’ a tantalising taste of what’s in store from their forthcoming debut album set for release in 2016.

Frontman Nicholas Griffith explains the story behind the single “We started writing it when I came back from a holiday in Europe, and a lot of the lyrics reference the travel experiences I had. A girl I’d been staying with in Prague made me a paper crane before I left for France, and I was reading The Catcher In The Rye while on the road which inspired the line ‘Nobody knows where the animals go to when New York is frozen’.”

The addictively upbeat track was produced by Adrian Breakspear at Sony Studios, Darlinghurst and mixed by Philly J’s Simon Berkfinger at Golden Retriever, Kreuzberg. Check out ‘My Heart’ below and if you like what you’re hearing pop by the band’s Facebook page for more info.
