Why? Killer local festival Party in the Park are having a lunch party, how many more time can we fit the word ‘party’ into this bulb? I’m sure a few more time ’cause with acts like lijah Scadden, Robustt, Two Much, Persian Rug and Buck Nite and Touch Sensitive on the decks it’s set to be an absolute corker of a party! For only 15 lil’ dollars the event promises to be “will be filled with endless good vibes, live art instillations, music and of course, many more sweet surprises” so get your party hat on and head along.

Naysayers

Why? Melbourne garage rockers Naysayers are getting heavily into the Christmas spirit this month, so much so they’re throwing a cheeky lil’ Chrissy party. Set to be better then yourupcomign work function the so aptly titled ‘Dirty Little Christmas Party ft. Naysayser’ will also feature Uncle Bobby, Jurassic Nark, and Plebs on the line up so a good time is guaranteed.

Dream Rimmy, The Spunloves & Aborted Tortoise

Why? As part of the LEFTOVER LOVERS seriece (Vol.5 to be exact) some of WA’s most underrated , but nonetheless exciting and best names bands are teaming up for a hump day show to carry you out ’til the weekend. For Aborted Tortise (winner of out unofficial best band name of the year award) it’s gonna’ be their last show for the year so really you have no excuse to miss it. Head along and pretend its the weekend.

The Brothers Grimm

Why? Once again as they do every week, the ol’ Cranker down Grenfell Street delivers. This week it’s a super local Adelaide powered rock n roll affair featuring a triple banger line up including he Brothers Grimm, Apricot Jam, and Wright Street all taking to the stage to blow Thursday off the calendar and make it Friday. Pop in.

DEAFCULT

Why? Brissy six-piece noise pop crew DEAFCULT will be celebrating their vinyl launch this weekend, though their EP was released in may – it was killer and it did receive much critical acclaim landing them as FBi’s Independent Artist of The Week, Triple J Unearthed Featured Artist and a review in NME – so why not? Seriously catch ’em in action before the year is out.

Black Aces

Why? Rock n roll heroes Black Aces are celebrating the end of 2015 by returning to Cherry Bar for their final Victorian show of the year. Recruiting Sydney mates The Lockhearts and Melbourne champs Smoke Stack Rhino and blues brothers Fried Hockey Boogie for the ride, it’s set to be a rock n roll ripper of a night.

Polish Club

Why? We’ve been digging Sydney duo Polish Club’s killer EP ever since they gave us a tidy little track by track run down on it back in November. To celebrate the EP release they guys have finally teed up a lunch show this Friday at Waywards. If it’s anything like the EP (which obviously we’re assuming it is) this live show is gonna slay.

Why? For your recommended dosage of “midweek electronic goodness.
