At this point, Chicago indie rockers OK Go are better known for their insanely viral music videos than for their music, but it’s not hard to understand why when they manage to top themselves in ambition and visual splendour each time.
Now, having toyed with treadmill aerobics routines and Rube Goldberg machines, OK Go are back with their music video for ‘Upside Down & Inside Out’ and sure enough, they filmed the thing in freaking outer space.
Well, not really, but almost. The clip was filmed entirely in zero gravity aboard an S7 Airlines zero-gravity airplane. The whole thing was filmed in one shot with no green screen or CGI, which is impressive when you actually watch the video.
The band and two flight attendants execute all sorts of zero-G manoeuvres, play with bouncy balls, pinatas, and water balloons filled with paint, and they somehow manage to do all of this without puking. Check out the clip below.
