In case you’ve missed her, Brisbane based theatrical-pop songwriter Emma Dean has been captivating audiences across the world thanks to her uncanny vocal ability and talent for penning gems that are both incredibly heart-opening and undeniably hooky.

Today Dean is unveiling her latest effort ‘Fall Awake’ a stunning journey into the mind of an incredibly alt-pop talent. Having performed alongside Jesca Hoop and Kate Miller-Heidke, and in support of Macy Gray, Jinkx Monsoon (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Amanda Palmer, The Dresden Dolls, and Katie Noonan, Dean knows how to capture the power of a live performance and transfer that energy into her recordings.

Check out ‘Fall Awake’ below and if you like what you’re hearing, be sure to catch her at this month’s Melbourne Cabaret Festival on Saturday 18 June at Chapel Off Chapel.

Emma will also be performing as part of Sad Grrrls Fest this October 8th in Sydney. Sad Grrrls Fest is an annual music festival celebrating gender diversity and showcasing some of the fantastic non-male talent in Sydney, the line up for 2016 is killer – for all the info pop by the event Facebook page.
