Yes, the gigs we were all crossing our fingers are actually happening – Queens of the Stone Age are playing Splendour in the Grass sideshows.
Heading to Australia for the sold-out festy in July alongside the likes of The xx and LCD Soundsystem, QOTSA have just announced four shows – and one of them’s a bit unexpected.
They’ll be kicking their tour off in Auckland and playing the standard Sydney/Melbourne combo, but will be following that with their first ever show in… Darwin.
Yep, NT fans will finally be able to catch QOTSA in action up north. No idea why they’ve chosen now, but maybe Josh Homme just wants to try his hand at wrestling a crocodile.
