Music festivals are ethereal experiences. Whether its dancing the night away with your pals, road tripping to a new location or discovering your new favourite band live, they’re basically an oasis away from the mundanities of the everyday. For many, they’re also the location of dizzying love at first sight encounters.
Let’s face it, we’ve all been there. It’s two minutes until the headliner hits the stage. You’re buzzing with anticipation and the crowd is getting pushier by the second. But then it happens. The face of an angel catches your eye amongst thousands and immediately, you’re in a daze.
You begin to plan how you’ll one day tell your grandchildren that your epic love-story commenced with a with a random encounter in a rowdy Violent Soho moshpit. You try your best to chat but as soon as the music starts, it’s all over.
Now, you’ll never have to ponder what could’ve been – Groovin The Moo has now launched a service that’ll help punters find their festival lovers.
The Facebook group entitled ‘GTM FIND MY CRUSH’ is allowing festival goers to hopefully reconnected with their brief festival flings, in the hopes of finding true love.
“It’s come to our attention that many people both find and lose their crushes all in one day while at GTM! So we thought we’d create a space to reunite lost loves! If you met someone at GTM, but didn’t get a chance to grab their number, here’s your opportunity to reconnect! Go forth and find each other lovers!” reads the group’s description.
Punters are clearly taking to the service, with nearly 3,000 users on board already, posting descriptions of their crushes in the hopes of rekindling that spark.

“Met this absolute beautiful boy, Lemmy or Remy (ahhhh), we danced for a good 2 hours and boy he was a good dancer hohhhh. Anyway, total strangers and all but I already feel like we’ve known each other for sooo long so pls MAITLAND groovers, help a girl out and find me my boy!” reads one post.
Groovin The Moo 2018 recently wrapped up in Bunbury last week. This year’s fest will probably go down as one the most legendary in its history with a tonne of iconic moments ensuing over the tour – Paul Kelly became mates with Skegss, Phil Jamieson rode his motorbike onstage and punters were treated to epic sets from Alex Lahey, The Amity Affliction Royal Blood and more.
