Kira Puru has called out Canberra’s Split Milk festival for spelling her name wrong in promotional material for today’s lineup announcement.

“I consider this behaviour racist microaggression”, she wrote on Twitter, “and I am going to use this opportunity to ask y’all to get it RIGHT. IT’s Kira MFKN Puru and if you misspell it, I’m going to make you double my paycheck. ”

Ngaiire commented below this tweet with “Lol welcome to my general lyf” while others bemoaned the fact that it is EIGHT LETTERS.
