Guy Sebastian has achieved a lot in his career since him and his afro won Australian Idol way back when. However there is a possibility that he has now peaked.
The Australian icon who didn’t really compete in Eurovision but performed there that one time has now covered a song from The Simpsons with WA musician Dan Cribb.
Cribb has been working on an album of pop-punk covers of songs from The Simpsons for a while now with a slew of Aussie acts helping out.
His cover of We Put The Spring In Springfield featuring Guy Sebastian is the 25th (YES THERE ARE 25 COVERS SO FAR) to be released and it is… what you’d expect.
You can listen to the song here, and download it for free if you feel so inclined. We’re just hoping someone will recreate the above picture with the afro.
On the collaboration, Cribb says “We had a blast in the studio working on this song and I’m so stoked with the results. I never thought I’d be singing a Simpsons song with Guy Sebastian when I started this project.”
In fairness, I think that statement resonates with all of us.
If pop-punk covers of songs from The Simpsons aren’t your vibe (as unlikely as that is), here’s another fun Guy Sebastian bop for you to jam along to.
