Wistful, intimate and utterly glorious. Thelma Plum‘s first single since releasing her her Monsters EP in 2014 is one of the singer-songwriter’s most beautifully-crafted offerings since she took out Triple J’s National Indigenous Music Awards competition in 2012.

Titled ‘Clumsy Love’, the intimate and complex single was recorded between Sydney and London, co-written and produced by Alexander Burnett (Sparkadia, Antony & Cleopatra).

It follows sold out tour dates in 2017, a main support slot for San Cisco’s sold out theatre tour, and features on Golden Features’ No One and AB Original’s ICU.

“The year just gone has been a really rough one for me and ‘Clumsy Love. is my reflections on that – and I have to say I am far happier with the song than with the memories,” Thelma Plum said of the track, quite possibly hinting at the vicious online attacks she received after bravely detailing an incident between herself and another musician.

The track’s release coincides with the announcement of a national single tour for late August and September, where Thelma Plum will take in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle, Maroochydore and Margaret River.
