One of the strongest independent record labels in Australia, Elefant Traks, turns 20 years old this year, and to celebrate, the iconic Sydney label is throwing a bunch of parties around the country for lifelong supporters and new fans to help celebrate with.
Founded back in 1998 by Kenny Sabir, Elefant Traks kicked off its existence by releasing a handful of compilations which aimed to showcase the diverse array of music that the label wanted to help promote. Soon, Elefant Traks began to gain traction within the Aussie music scene and before long, the label was releasing seminal records by the likes of The Herd, Hermitude, Urthboy, Horrorshow, The Last Kinection, Jane Tyrrell, and L-FRESH The Lion.
Now, after 20 years in the game, Elefant Traks is set to celebrate by holding a handful of parties and talks around the country, giving some pretty unique experiences to fans all over the country.
Taking place this November and December, Elefant Traks is set to hold their ET20 parties in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, featuring a lineup that showcases the very best of what Elefant Traks has to offer, including The Herd, OKENYO, L-FRESH The Lion, Jayteehazard, and much more still to be announced.
November is also set to play host to a rather special event as well, when the ET20 Talks travels to Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane with their The Elefant In The Room event.
These series of talks will see artists and friends of the label share their experiences, stories, and everything in between. Taking inspiration from The Moth Series and Women Of Letters, these talks will offer fans a very unique insight into the impact that such an astonishing label has had on the country’s music scene over the last two decades.
