Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has offered another updated on the bands’ highly-anticipated forthcoming album. In a tweet posted a few days ago, Keenan shared the following update with fans.
“Update- Scratch Vox tracked awhile ago. AJ deep in Guitars now. Final Vox after. Step back. Adjust. Mix. Adjust. Re-Adjust. Master. Adjust. Re-Adjust. Long Way 2 Go But Much Closer. #TOOL #2019″

Back in June, Keenan promised fans that they would have a new album come 2019, and this tweet reaffirms the likeliness of the band hitting that goal.
The band have revealed that every song on the album is over 10 minutes long, and the drums have already tracked. Keenan also confirmed in April that he was finished with the lyrics and melodies.
Tool have shared a snippet of their new material in a promotional video for a series of musical clinics they held over America’s summer, as COS reports.
