Fans hoping to see Ace Frehley team up with his KISS bandmates on the upcoming tour might want to hope Gene Simmons and co. have some very deep pockets.

Iconic rockers KISS recently announced to the world they’re gearing up to embark on their final world tour and wave goodbye to their fans for the last time.

Of course, many fans have been wondering what this final tour will include. Some, including Ace Frehley seem to be hoping it will be reminiscent of the band’s tour in the mid-’90s, which saw the original KISS lineup reunite for a world tour.

However, speaking at the Hollywood’s Musicians Institute, Frehley noted he ‘hadn’t been asked’ about possibly joining the upcoming tour.

“I had a meeting with those guys several months ago, and they talked about retiring to me, and that didn’t seem right either,” Frehley explained. “Who knows what’s going to happen?”

“Hopefully next year, what all the KISS fans really want to happen will happen. I’m hoping,” he continued. “I want to be involved, especially for the fans. It’s not like my dream job, because I’ve done it a couple of times and quit, but I really want to do it for the fans if it’s going to happen.”

Now, in an interview with Yahoo! Music, Ace Frehley has revealed he’d definitely be eager to join his old bandmates, if the price was right.

“It’s true: I haven’t been invited,” he explained, noting that he would “absolutely” do it “for the right price”.

“The first year of that reunion tour, we grossed $215 million, and that was 20 years ago,” he recalled with good humour. “So what would it be today, probably double that? Half a billion? I’m there.”

Likewise, Ace Frehley also noted that he’s rather certain that Peter Criss would be eager to join the farewell tour as well.

“Most of the time when I want to talk to Peter, I have to talk to his wife,” he explained. “She’s like his manager, Gigi. She’s a nice lady, but I don’t even think Peter has his own cellphone, or if he does, I don’t have the number.”

“When I do business with Paul and Gene, I call Paul and he picks up. He goes, ‘Ace Frehley, how you doing?’ Gene says the same thing. When I want to talk to Peter, or ask him a question, it’s Gigi I go through.”

“For the right price, I’m sure he’d do it. I mean, it’s tough to turn down a couple of million dollars.”

As we’ve noted before though, there definitely doesn’t appear to be any bad blood between the members, with Frehley joining Gene Simmons on his recent tour to Australia. So at this stage, it seems like we might just need to sit back and wait and see if KISS’ farewell tour will be doubling as a reunion tour as well.
