Frances Bean Cobain has shared another new song she’s working on, previewing the song on her Instagram account recently.

Over the last year, Frances Bean Cobain has become something of a prolific songwriter. Since she started sharing her tunes, we’ve seen Frances Bean Cobain cover a number of tracks, including Jimmy Eat World’s ‘The Middle’ and Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’, but recently she began to start sharing her own original compositions on her social accounts.

Now, the 26-year-old has shared yet another taste of her music, taking to social media yesterday to preview the new track.

Captioning the post by noting “I could keep the raspiness in my voice from being sick without getting sick … I would,” Cobain’s track is an acoustic number with some rather emotional lyrics thrown in.

Eagle-eyed listeners might notice a bit of a Nirvana connection as well, with the line “I’ve been stuck inside your time capsule” bearing a slight resemblance to Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’, which features the titular lyric “I’ve been locked inside your heart-shaped box”.

While Frances Bean Cobain has been hinting at a music career in the past, she revealed to E! earlier this year that she’s not too sure what the future holds for her in terms of being a creative.

“With regards to music, I don’t want to pigeon hole myself and say I am a musician or a visual artist because I feel like it’s all encompassing and I feel like every bit of my art is related to the other,” she explained.

“So do I want to pursue my music further and see it come to fruition and see something further and see something palpable? Absolutely.”

Although Cobain is said to be working on a debut album, there’s no word yet as to when we might be hearing a full-length release. Regardless, if these previews are anything to go by, we’re sure it’ll be a pretty amazing record.
