It looks as though Slipknot have teamed up with iconic US clothing brand Supreme, with a new collection set to drop later this year.
If you’ve had any exposure to fashion over the last 25 years, then you might be well aware of the Supreme brand. A New York City-based clothing label, Supreme started life as a skate shop before gradually turning into the fashion behemoth it is today.
Famous for their limited edition releases and counter-culture attitude, the brand received a major boost in visibility last year when The New York Times ran an issue of their paper with the Supreme logo on the front. Before long, almost every copy had sold out, with collector’s aiming to make bank by listing them on eBay for exorbitant amounts.
Now, it looks like Slipknot is teaming up with the brand.

Taking to social media earlier today, Supreme fan account DropsByJay revealed he’d received intel that a supposedly long-awaited Supreme and Slipknot collaboration was in the works, set to arrive around the middle of 2019.
While the account noted that the collection was set to include “tees, outerwear, accessory, stickers & more,” many fans were undoubtedly skeptical about the veracity of the leak. However, an image of a stamp featuring the song title ‘People = Shit’ was later shared, seemingly adding truth to this rumour.
Oddly though, this doesn’t appear to be the first time that Supreme have used Slipknot for their brand. In mid-2018, one fan took to Reddit to share an image of some Supreme-branded shorts that featured a ‘People = Shit’ logo on the leg, leading to speculation that the brand ripped off the nu-metal icons.
Now, it’s all starting to make sense.

Of course, given the popularity of a brand like Supreme and the image of a band like Slipknot, fans of the group appear to be rather divided in their response to this rumoured announcement.
However, as others have pointed out, Supreme’s legitimacy within the punk and rock scene is well-known, having started out as a DIY skateboarding brand back in the day, and working with huge names such as Slayer, Black Sabbath, Lou Reed, the Misfits, the Dead Kennedys, and much more in the past.
While neither Supreme or Slipknot have confirmed the fact they’re working together, it looks like we haven’t got that long before we find out for sure.
In related news, Slipknot are working hard on the follow-up to 2013’s .5: The Gray Chapter. Some reports have indicated that this new record might be arriving in mid-2019, meaning this new Supreme collab might just drop alongside the new album.
