Rage are set to pay tribute to The Prodigy this weekend, airing a special presentation of the English big-beat legends.
Like the rest of the music-loving world, we were undoubtedly shocked to learn of the passing of Prodigy frontman Keith Flint overnight.
A member of the group since its inception, Flint was initially solely a dancer, though by 1996 he had made the move over to vocals, helping to bring the band to the mainstream with their best-known hits, ‘Firestarter’ and ‘Breathe’
Famed for iconic look and wild stage presence, Keith Flint’s legacy will undoubtedly live on for generations, with his musical contributions set to remain as timeless classics.
Now, in the wake of his passing, Rage have revealed that they will be sharing a special tribute to The Prodigy this Friday night, looking back at the history and influence of the iconic group.
With The Prodigy having hosted the program twice over the years (once in 1996 and once in 2005), Rage are set to air footage of their time on the red couch, while also looking back at classic music videos and archival footage of the group.
It’s all set to kick off at at 12:25am on Saturday morning (or Friday night, if you’re still up), so be sure to tune in. However, you might want to make sure the kids are tucked in, lest they too suffer through the tradition of witnessing clips like ‘Firestarter’ and ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ in a dark room late at night.
