The guitarist of US metalcore act Born Of Osiris has revealed he has had instruments and other various items stolen during a recent home invasion.

If you’re a fan of heavy music, then there’s a fair chance you’ve heard of Chicago-based rockers Born Of Osiris. Forming back in the early ’00s, the group released their debut record back in 2009, with their most recent record being unleashed back in January.

However, guitarist Lee McKinney has now taken to Facebook to reveal he was the victim of a terrifying home invasion recently, with a number of his treasured instruments being taken during the incident.

“Last night on Monday, March 12 [sic], our house was burglarized,” McKinney began. “The intruder(s) had a knife that was left on the scene and that makes us feel like the intent was to potentially do more than walk out with material items.”

“Stolen items include a TV, 5 guitars, 1 audio interface, 4 guns, 1 camera, and 1 amplifier,” he added. “This robbery feels like it was targeted for the studio for exactly the time we were on tour or at work, as we were not home.”

“Material items are one thing, but justice against the person who came into our home with a weapon is of the utmost importance.”

Lee McKinney also added pictures and serial numbers of his stolen instruments, presumably in the hope that someone out there might be able find the missing guitars in a manner reminiscent of what happened to Billy Corgan recently.

In related news, former Born Of Osiris guitarist Jason Richardson has been confirmed as the new guitar player for fellow metalcore act All That Remains.

Richardson’s appointment comes following the death of founding member Oli Herbert, who passed away in reportedly suspicious circumstances back in October.

If you have any friends who might be in a position to help Lee McKinney find his stolen instruments, it might be a good idea to hit up Facebook and share out Born Of Osiris’ post.
