This May, the David Lynch-curated Festival of Disruption will return to New York City. In typical Lynchian fashion, details surrounding the festival have remained elusive; today we finally have the lineup.

Night 1 (May 17th) will see performances from dream-pop duo Wye Oak, art-rock band Mercury Rev and Fugazi’s rhythm sections new project, The Messthetics. Whilst Night 2 (May 18th) will feature seminal alt-rock icons Garbage, folk-rock auteur Phoebe Bridgers and a DJ Set from LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang.

“Come to the Festival of Disruption, where we are dedicated to disrupting the old bad and bringing in the new good, which is peace, happiness, and goodwill to all,” shared Lynch, “Let’s Rock!”

As well as a series of stunning performances, Lynch will also be hosting a screening of his Oscar-nominated film Mulholland Drive. Following the screening, he will host a Q&A conversation event with Justin Theroux.

Tickets for the NYC Festival of Disruption go on sale Friday, March 22nd.

Lynch has also announced that he will be hosting a Masterclass on Creativity and Film. A description on the website reads:

“David Lynch introduced mainstream audiences to art-house films. Now the Oscar-nominated director of Mulholland Drive teaches his cross-disciplinary creative process. Learn how he catches ideas, translates them into a narrative, and moves beyond formulaic storytelling. Embrace the art life in David’s MasterClass and learn to test the boundaries of your own artistic expression in any medium.”

Check out a trailer for the Masterclass below. Head to the website for more information.
