Superstar DJs, here we go! Get ready to get sweaty, because English music icons The Chemical Brothers have just announced their first tour of Australia since 2013.
Back in late 2012, The Chemical Brothers made their return to Australia, touring as part of the final Summadayze Festival. While fans thought the group would likely make a swift return, we’ve been left waiting ever since.
While 2015 saw the release of Born In The Echoes, no Aussie tour followed, so when the group announced the release of No Geography back in November, fans undoubtedly thought things were looking up.
Now, after a bit of teasing, The Chemical Brothers have officially announced their return to Australian shores, with a three-date headline tour slated for October and November.
Kicking off in Brisbane on October 31st, the duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons will head over to Sydney, before wrapping things up in Melbourne on November 5th.
With No Geography serving as one of their most-anticipated records to date, the Grammy Award-winning pair are set to showcase a bunch of tunes from this new release, along with a collection of beloved classics, veritable party starters, and block rockin’ beats.
Of course, if you’re on the lookout for a little extra, The Chemical Brothers have also announced that Aussie legends The Avalanches will be joining them on the tour, opening proceedings with one of their legendary DJ sets.
Tickets to The Chemical Brothers’ first Aussie tour in six years go on sale from Thursday, May 9th at 10am, local time. Pre-sales are set to kick off in the days beforehand, so check out all the appropriate details below.
