Adelaide’s most raucous rockers are back, with Bad//Dreems officially dropping their newest single today, ‘Double Dreaming.

If you’re a fan of Bad//Dreems, then you’d likely be aware that the last year has been a little bit quiet.

With only a few live appearances from time to time, fans had undoubtedly been wondering when the group would emerge from the shadows, armed with a handful of brand new tunes.

Having recently been announced as the latest signees to Farmer & The Owl, and scoring a spot on the massive Yours & Owls Festival lineup this morning, it appears that 2019 is set to be a big one for the group, unleashing their latest single on triple j earlier today.

Titled ‘Double Dreaming’, the track is a riveting three-minute affair, featuring some stunning guitarwork from Alex Cameron, powerful vocal delivery from frontman Ben Marwe, and an exceptional display from the rhythm section of Miles Wilson, James Bartold, and Ali Wells.

The first taste of their new record, ‘Double Dreaming’ is backed by apocalyptic film clip, is armed with some intriguing lyrics, and looks set to serve as one of the group’s biggest tracks to date.

Recorded as one of 50 demos made for their third album, guitarist Ali Wells’ Grinchdoor Studios helped provide a location for the groundwork to be laid down, before entering Adelaide’s Twin Earth Studios to work with the production team of Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, DZ Deathrays) and Jack Ladder to polish off the record.

Due out in October, the newly-expanded five-piece are set to head over to the UK next month to support the mighty Midnight Oil once again, before returning home in anticipation of the new album’s release.

Check out ‘Double Dreaming’ below, ahead of its digital release on Thursday, May 30th.
