Last November we were treated to one of the biggest ’90s rock injections since the return of the riot grrrl.

Newcastle was treated to epic new festival Scene & Heard with a stacked lineup of ’90s and 2000s Australian rock icons like The Living EndSpiderbait, Something For Kate and Killing Heidi.

After a packed day at Wickham Park, festival organisers have announced not only the return of Scene & Heard this year, but also its expansion to Queensland with dates in Cairns on Sunday 27 October, and Brisbane on Saturday 2 November.

The game has officially been upped for round two of Scene & Heard and from what we hear (sorry), organisers have curated an impressive live soundtrack aimed at transporting punters straight back to a time when LIVID, Homebake and the Big Day Out were a huge part of our annual festival calendar.

The new Sheriff in town is releasing the first announcement of local and international artists on Tuesday 4 June.

If the 2019 lineup is anything like its predecessor featuring The Living End, Spiderbait, Something for Kate, Sneaky Sound System, and so many more, we’re in for three huge days of blatant and embraced nostalgia.

Crank up the sub-woofer, dig out your cargo pants and head HERE to register for the Scene & Heard presale.
