More than 20 years after they first visited the country, The Dandy Warhols are bringing their 25th anniversary celebrations to Australia this year.

Back in 1994, a group of musicians came together to form an alternative rock outfit that would soon be known as The Dandy Warhols.

Releasing their first album, Dandys Rule OK, in 1995, the group broke into the mainstream with The Dandy Warhols Come Down, a record that featured iconic singles like ‘Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth’ and ‘Every Day Should Be A Holiday’.

Since then, the group have toured Australia numerous times, released plenty of classic records, and unleashed countless singles. Now, they’re set to celebrate their 25th anniversary as a band with their latest tour of the country.

Having been announced as part of the Brisbane and Newcastle legs of the Scene & Heard Festival, The Dandy Warhols have announced a pair of headline shows while in the country.

Their first Aussie shows since 2016, and first since a rumoured double-header with The Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Dandys are set to hit up Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on Sunday, November 3rd, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, November 6th.

As with any show by The Dandy Warhols, you can expect a wild experience that truly has to be seen to be believed. With countless iconic hits and some of the best live shows you’ll find anywhere, what better time than now to check out these alt-rock icons when they celebrate 25 years of musical history.

Tickets to the Dandys’ Aussie tour go on sale from 9am AEST on Wednesday, June 12th, with an early bird pre-sale kicking off this Friday.
