Just a few months removed the first-ever Aussie performances from New Years Day, plans have already been made for a return visit, with their debut headline tour of the country set for March of 2020.

Back in 2005, the seeds were sown for what would soon become a new group called New Years Day. Formed by vocalist Ashley Costello, guitarist Keith Drover, and bassist Adam Lohrbach following his departure from Home Grown, the band quickly wrote songs, sharing them on Myspace in the process.

As the years progressed, the output of New Years Day increased, lineups shifted, and more high-profile gigs followed.

With Costello the only remaining founding member of the band, the group have been killing it recently, touring with the likes of Halestorm and In This Moment in support of their latest album, Unbreakable.

In fact, touring for this record brought New Years Day down to Australia for the first time ever, performing at the Sydney and Melbourne legs of the Download Festival, to the sheer delight of fans who had waited almost 15 years for the opportunity.

Now, off the success of their Aussie debut, New Years Day have announced their first-ever Australian headline tour, announcing plans for shows in March of 2020.

Kicking off in Adelaide, the metal outfit will hit up Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane in four days, blowing the doors of venues everywhere in the process.
