When you’re at the level of Rammstein, the Berlin-based industro-metal juggernaut which won two Grammys and both are for their live shows, there aren’t too many mountains left to climb.
Having ascended the nu-metal ’90s, and become more politically and sexually provocative that anyone deemed possible, it’s apposite Rammstein would released their own smartphone app for Android and iOS for free.
More than that, the band recently dropped their first new record in almost a decade, Untitled.
The Rammstein App features:
– Tour dates: With alerts for advance ticket sales.
– Music player: Play all albums and singles directly in the app using services like Spotify Premium or Apple Music.
– LIFAD community: Chat with other fans. The writing feature is enabled exclusively for LIFAD members.
– RammsteinShop: Buy all official merchandise directly in the app.
While the app has just been released, it’s already faced criticism. As Musikexpress points out, all users of the app must have a paid streaming membership at either Apple Music or Spotify. More than that, in order to use the community functions, you have to have a valid annual membership of the Rammstein LIFAD fan club.
An annual LIFAD membership will set you back AU$40 but here’s the kicker, you can’t even buy a membership at the moment due to the upcoming pre-sale for Rammstein’s 2020 Tour.
Despite this, the average rating in the Google Play Store is 4.5 out of 5 stars. And Apple users have even given the app an average of 5 out of 5 stars.

You can get the app from the Google Play Store for Android, or via Apple’s App Store.
